Year: 2017, Rwanda remembers for a twenty third time. In France, they are busy preparing Presidential election; no one of them cares about big role that was played by French officials in 1994 genocide against Tutsis.
Killing, raping, training Interahamwe militia, supplying arms to government of genocidaires…;testimonies and reports show the role of
French officials in planning and executing the 1994 tragedy in Rwanda.
From François Mitterrand to François Hollande, none
of them said the truth about evil cooperation that happened between France and Juvenal
Habyarimana’s government that pushed French soldiers to stop before barriers in
roads and ask identities to scrutinize Hutus and Tutsis.
In history, White men countries include France used
to call African continent the lost paradise that needs a light to be modern. On
the way to the light, in Rwanda, French illumination turned into dark. And now,
Commission of anti-genocide in Rwanda accuses twenty two French military
officers to involve in
the genocide against Tutsis as perpetrators or accomplices; the stories that
France do not want to hear and to be known.
The country that
said to be the home of democracy and equitable justice now, denies giving
justice to millions of survivors who survived French criminals but they chose
to stay silent even though it is on record that French
officials, including envoys accredited to Rwanda, were deeply involved in the
Genocide preparation.
In addition to that, participation of French
ambassadors like Georges Martres (France’s ambassador to Rwanda from 1989 to
1993) and Jean-Michel Marlaud who was ambassador from March 1993 to April 1994
is known.
The world respected land of high
thinkers like Jean Jacques Rousseau and Victor Hugo that I loved so much when I
was in secondary school, is now ashamed to be the hell of justice and night club of killers that France still keep
away from justice.
Undoubtedly once in history of France,
Palais de l’Elysée was a stronghold of genocide planners
and executors but when Republic of France will accept its failures and clean
carpets of president palace?
It is good that, France enacted law punishing
genocide denial and trivialization but we still wait to see France bringing
before court Lieutenant-Colonel Michel
Robardey Colonel Gilbert Canovas, Colonel Jacques Rosier and their fellowers
and extradite to Rwanda Agatha Kanziga and
WencislasMunyeshyaka…
Twenty three years near the end, France still hides
behind evil defense, denying and downplaying its role in 1994 genocide against
even if facts and evidences are there. Survivors don’t lose hope, what doesn’t
kill you, make you stronger. Time will tell the truth about Mitterrand and
Habyarimana’s satanic friendship.
