October 1, 1990- October 1, 2017, 27 years since Rwandan refugees launched an army struggle against General Juvenal Habyarimana regime. MRND’s Genocidal rule was toppled, RPF-Inkotanyi seized power and now Rwanda is among the world fastest growing economy.

We celebrate Unity, Democratic leadership and Development that were brought by RPF but we still keep in our hearts Late Fred Gisa Rwigema, Late Bayingana, Late Bunyenyezi and their fellows who died fighting.

After Rwanda gained its independence in 1962, the MDR-PARMEHUTU (1962-1973) regime as well as the MRND (1973-1994) regime decided to carry on the segregation legacy of the colonial masters that resulted in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

When The RPF-INKOTANYI formed, its objectives were to fight against bad governance that characterized Rwanda’s history and to solve all the problems that resulted.

Both the political and the armed struggle were aimed at liberating Rwanda from the bad dictatorial leadership in order to build a nation that abides by law, and upholds democracy, peace, security, justice and development.

Through hardships after taking power in 1994, RPF-Inkotanyi is implementing its political agenda that compromises nine points.

Nine points and some statistics

1. Restoration of unity among Rwandans
Unity and reconciliation in Rwanda is 92.5% (Rwanda Reconciliation Barometer 2015)

2. Defending the sovereignty of the country and ensure the security of people and property
-Rwanda is ranked the 11th globally and 2nd in Africa among the World safest country (Gallup Global Law and Order report2017)
-Rwandans trust country’s security at 91.96 % (RGB report 2014)

3. Establishment of democratic leadership,
-Since then and now Rwanda is media country, the leadership of RPF-Inkotanyi reinforced media as channel where people give ideas freely straight to the decision makers.
So, Media is used as a platform for Democratic discourse at 75.5% (RGB Media Barometer 2016)

4. Promoting the natural resources based economy
-Rwanda's economy grew 1.7 percent in the first Quarter 2017,
- And GDP reached Frw 1,817 billion, up from Frw 1,593 billion in the same quarter of the previous year.

5. Elimination of corruption, favoritism and embezzlement of national resources;
- Rwanda is ranked the 50th least corrupt country globally

6. Promoting social welfare;
- 34.5% Rwandans can access electricity and 85% can access portable water today
- 406 health posts for 218 cells, with an average of 1 health post per 5 cells

-7. Eliminating all causes for fleeing the country and returning Rwandan refugees back into the country;
The Geneva Convention of UNHCR confirmed 31st December, 2017 as the deadline for removing refugee status for Rwandans.

8. Promoting international relations based on mutual respect, cooperation and mutually beneficial economic exchange;
-Rwanda currently has 33 diplomatic missions covering 147 countries, regional and international organizations.
-In addition to 37 honorary consuls representing Rwanda’s strategic interests in 17 Countries.
-At a regional and international level, Rwanda is a member of 201 multilateral organizations.

9. And Fighting genocide and its ideology.

 27 years to the brightest country that we have today was a long journey. On the way, ambassadors of evil used to predict that RPF’s government will not last longer as they support FDRL rebels, cooking reports to pollute the country’s legacy, creating phantom politicians to try RPF but today, I see them closing their mouths.

They tried to pull down a flag that was raised by the will of the people but they failed. RPF-Inkotanyi still stands steel and its three colors flag is still waving in the thousand hills country preaching Unity, Democracy and Development.
